(Note: Obtaining and using the recommended editions is most important where a translator is noted. If the work was originally in English, the particular edition recommended is less critical.)

3. Hebrew Traditional Text, Job­-Any English Bible (from the King James, to the New Revised Standard, to the Revised English Bible) will serve nicely. The version that will be ordered for class is an inexpensive copy of the New Revised Standard Version; ISBN: 0195283805.

4. Hebrew Traditional Text, Hosea--Same note as #3.

5. Hindu Traditional Text, The Chandogya Upanishad (in The Upanishads [Juan Mascaro translation]--Penguin/Viking Press; ISBN: 0140441638). This edition translates only selections from the Chandogya Upanishad. A more complete translation can be found here as an Adobe PDF file.
